I'm an artist in the New York area. Since seeing native rock art in the southwest, I devote my art to creating sculptural representations of native american petroglyphs, many of which replicate shaman figures, and semi-abstract figures. It is impossible to capture the spiritual essence of the original pecked-in-rock drawings outside of their natural settings. However, using steel and creating the image in three dimensions gives one the flexiblility to place and enjoy them in many contexts and environments. If you are interested in purchasing one, or discussing my making a sculpture of one of your favorite petroglyphs, please contact me at tendersteel@hotmail.com
